Choosing videos
- Use short loops of 10 to 20 seconds, 1280 pixels wide for landscape and 720 wide for vertical reels.
- Upload them in Content → Files, or straight from the video picker in the theme editor. Shopify hosts and resizes them.
- Videos play muted. Every video shows its poster image first and only loads when it scrolls into view.
- Shoppers who turn on reduce motion see the poster image instead, and the hero has a pause button.
Video hero
Pick a video, then set the height, text position and how much to darken the video so white text stays readable. Add an image as a fallback for when there's no video.
Scroll story
Add up to six Chapter blocks, each with a video, an image, a heading and text. On desktop the media stays pinned while the chapters scroll past; on phones each chapter shows its image above the text.
Shoppable videos
Add a Video block per clip, with a caption and a product. Vertical 9:16 clips work best. Single-variant products get a quick add button.
