Questions about Crate
Does Crate bill subscriptions?
Billing is handled by Shopify. Sell prepaid plans as variants with no app, or add a subscriptions app such as Shopify Subscriptions for recurring billing; Crate shows its plans automatically.
How does the cutoff countdown work?
Set your cutoff day of the month. Crate counts down to it in the shopper's time zone and names the box month they'll get.
Can shoppers buy one-off boxes too?
Yes. One-off boxes and add-ons use a simpler product template without plans.
How do gift subscriptions work?
Make a gift product with lengths as variants. The gift section saves the gift note and send date on the order.
How does the license work?
One payment of $149 covers one Shopify store, with free updates for life and a 14-day refund.
