Update to a new version

Install a new version without losing your settings, templates or content.

Updates are free for life. Each version is listed in the changelog.

  1. Download the new version from the link in your order email and upload it as a new theme (see Install Kinetic). Your live theme isn't touched.
  2. In your current theme, click ⋯ → Edit code and copy the contents of config/settings_data.json, every file in templates/ that ends in .json, and sections/header-group.json and sections/footer-group.json.
  3. Paste each one into the same file in the new version and save.
  4. Click Preview to check the new version, then Publish.

Your products, collections, pages, menus and blog posts live in Shopify, not in the theme, so they carry over automatically.
